“A.S.H.” TAKES HOME TOP HONOR AT SHOCKFEST FILM FESTIVAL IN HOLLYWOOD

Nov 14 2010

On 13 November 2010, “Anti-Samaritan Hotline” took home the 2010 Shocker Award for Overall Excellence, the Shockfest Film Festival’s top award. The late night awards ceremony followed the “Killer’s Korner” screening of the four films nominated for Best Director (of which “Anti-Samaritan Hotline” was one).

The film played to a packed house in the Chaplin Theater at Raleigh Studios in the heart of Hollywood, and received an enthusiastic response. Several cast and crew members were in attendance to support the film, including actress Laura Lea and actor Michael Q. Schmidt (both in costume as their characters of Mistress Mayhem and slave jim), who took the stage with writer-director A. Tad Chamberlain for the Q&A which followed the screening.

Actress Laura Lea also competed in the festival’s Miss Shockfest contest, which immediately followed the film awards ceremony, and was named 1st runner up in a nail-biting one-by-one elimination round of the six sexy contestants who were vying for the crown.
