John Maurice – Phil the Operator

IMDB Resume

John Maurice is originally from North Wales in the UK, and currently resides in London. Having graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama he has, since his early 20s, written and acted on the London theatre scene and has worked with, among others, the award winning Filter Theatre Co. John’s natural musical ability has meant that writing and performing music has always been a major part of his artistic expression. He is currently working on a musical theatre venture entitled ‘The Soundtrack to a Nervous Breakdown’ and simultaneously writing a TV drama for the BBC. Recently, John has focused on Film and TV and has appeared in several UK and US productions.

John co-wrote the original song “A.S.H.” upon which the short film is based, and played the part of Geoffrey the hotline operator featured in that song (the character who later became Frank the Operator in the film). He was extremely pleased to be involved in the film version of “Anti-Samaritan Hotline” with his cameo as Phil the Operator, and is looking forward to unleashing a Liverpool (scouse) accent on an American audience.
